Celebrate (Much-Awaited) Colour At Your Spring Wedding!

It’s easy to understand why couples love spring weddings; celebration is in the air! As well as celebrating a happy couple’s union, spring marks the end of winter’s dark and dreary months and the start of a fresh, new and WARM season! Trendy spring themes generally fall into two categories (as do most wedding themes): contemporary and modern vs. traditional and classic. Modern spring wedding themes play up on a lively and youthful mood while giving way to a deco-inspired atmosphere. Using the bold colour combination of pink and green creates this type of wedding impeccably. Shades of both these colours work well against one another, with pale pairings viewed as more traditional and bright pairings more modern.

Incorporating citrus (honeydew, limes or green apples) into either table centrepieces or floral bouquets will literally create a fresh feel that will no doubt be appreciated by spring-feverish guests and will also serve to tantalize noses with refreshing fragrances!

Another very trendy spring theme, which is considered the more traditional and classic choice, is pairing aqua blue with brilliant white or even chocolate brown or platinum. Blue is a colour that radiates a very cool and refreshing feel while maintaining a classy and elegant look. Pairings of blue and white create a bright atmosphere than brings up connotations of the beach and ultimately relaxation and freedom! Incorporating various types of trees (or rose balls or feather balls) into a blue and white colour-theme will help to accentuate this most-desired mood.

Combining the colours aqua blue and chocolate brown has recently become a very popular choice for engaged couples.  This pairing creates a warm and rich atmosphere with the cool of the blue complimenting the earthy tones of the brown. Chocolate brown bridesmaids dresses work exceptionally well against the highlights of a blue sash and light-coloured floral bouquets.
