Symbolize A New Start At Your Summer Wedding With Green (Or Bright Colour)!
Plant life and flourishing colourful gardens abound during the playful summer months highlighting the best that nature has to offer! What better way to symbolize a new start (or new ‘growth’) than using shades of green in your summer wedding? Several different shades can be beautifully arrayed to represent the blissful new union between bride and groom. Darker hues (hunter, forest, kelly, sap, pine, india) tend to portray an authentic forest atmosphere whereas lighter shades (chartreuse, lime, moss, spring, sea, green-yellow) portray modern freshness. Whichever your shade (or shades), and whether used as a dominant or accent colour, greens create a peaceful, natural and refreshing mood. Venues like golf courses, botanical gardens, parks (or your own backyard if big enough!) make for a beautiful and natural backdrop when green forage is burgeoning. Pairing green with many of nature’s elements (pebbles, trees, birdcages, terra-cotta plants etc) will also elegantly tie together a nature-inspired wedding theme.
If using green shades in your summer wedding isn’t your first natural choice, try incorporating splashes of bold colour into a classic back and white colour-theme.
Summer is all about explosions of colour popping up in natural (a garden!) and decorative (a wedding!) settings. Bright summer colours like yellow, pink or blue work extremely well against black and white colour as the bold colour’s vibrancy is brillantly exaggerated. Yellow is a cheerful colour representing joy and friendship; pink is fun and is indicative of romance; and blue is a relaxing colour promoting dreamy feelings of tranquility. Darker shades of these colours generally represent a more modern wedding as opposed to paler shades which represent a more traditional look and feel. Whichever colour pairing and shade you opt for, you can be sure you’ll be representing your personality as well as the season of summer!
